  Designed for doctors, research scientists, students and clinical specialists, this database provides full text for over 100 journals in a variety of areas pertaining to medical study. All titles included in the Biomedical Reference Collection: Basic Edition are indexed in MEDLINE.

  This database is the richest collect of consumer health information available to libraries worldwide, providing information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. Health Source: Consumer Edition features searchable full text for nearly 150 journals. This database is updated daily.
• Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition
  
  This database provides nearly 550 scholarly full-text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition also features abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals. This database is updated daily.
• Nursing and Allied Health Collection: Basic
  
  Designed for nursing and allied health professionals, students, educators and researchers, this database provides full text for nearly 100 journals covering the areas of nursing, biomedicine, health sciences, consumer health and allied health disciplines.   PubMed is the free search interface for the MEDLINE database. It provides citations and abstracts of research articles (some with links to free full-text articles).

• CINAHL Plus w/Full Text (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature)
  
  Indexes literature related to nursing and allied health fields. Full-text articles are available for 36 of the journals. Also provides access to healthcare books, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of professional practice, educational software and audiovisual materials in nursing.
• Health and Wellness Resource Center
  
  Provides full text articles for nursing, allied health and consumer health subjects. Indexes approximately 205 periodicals, six reference books, and over 500 pamphlets. Selectively indexes articles in approximately 1500 additional general interest titles; and provides full text for over 150 periodicals and all reference books and pamphlets.

  The Kaiser Family Foundation discloses important health and health policy information for all fifty states and US territories. Categories include demographics and the economy, health status, women's health, minority health, and HIV/ AIDS.

• Drug Digest
  
  A noncommercial, evidence-based, consumer health and drug information site known for it's herbal information.
• Mayo Clinic (Drug Search section)
  
  Offers general information pertaining to the use of medicines. Also allows users to search by drug name or category from MICROMEDEX.
• MEDLINEplus: Drug Information
  
  Offers extensive information on prescription and nonprescription drugs. Two drug resources are presented: MedMaster™, a product of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), and the USP DI® Advice for the Patient®, a product of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
• NLM Drug Information Portal
  
  Provides quick access to information on over 12,000 drugs. The portal includes information from the National Library of Medicine and other key government agencies such as FDA and CDC.
• Stanford Health Library Drug Information & Therapies
  
  Provides drug information. Topics include drug interactions, adverse drug reactions and prescription drug assistance programs.

Wisconsin residents with Internet access can search the suite of magazine and newspaper databases included in BadgerLink. The WI Department of Public Instruction coordinates this service making arrangements with local Internet Service Providers and public libraries to provide access to BadgerLink. Database availability may vary depending upon your geographical location in Wisconsin.

How to Access a BadgerLink Database (access may vary by location)

1. Go to the BadgerLink web site at http://www.badgerlink.net .
2. Click on: Health & Medical Databases on EBSCOhost.
3. A choice of five databases appears. You may choose one or more of these databases by clicking on the box to left of each hyperlink. (You may choose all five).
4. Then click Continue.
5. You are now in the EBSCOhost's database search screen and the database(s) you selected will be listed near the top above the search box.
6. You are now ready to begin your search.
7. If the instructions above do not work, you may need to follow the instructions for using your library card to log in found at http://www.badgerlink.net/lib_card.html
