About RefWorks:
What is it?
RefWorks is web-based bibliographic software (or citation management software). It allows you to save citations to books and book chapters, journal articles and more in a pre-configured database. This allows you greater ability to organize, search and export the citations for research papers, submitting your own research to publishers and more.
Are there other products like it?
Similar products include EndNote, ProCite and Reference Manager.
Is there anything unique or advantageous about it over similar products?
RefWorks is web-based, meaning you can access it from anywhere you have internet access. It is paid for by UW-Madison, so its a free service as long as you're affliliated with the University.
Who can use it?
Anyone currently affiliated with UW-Madison.
